Subject: Break Up Letter.
Rob,
I am writing this letter to break up with you. We both know we had it coming. It was simply not working out. I always loved you but you never actually loved me back. You also did not let me leave this toxic relationship, and I had to put up with a lot of your nonsense. I loved you even when you turned abusive. I thought that due to your childhood trauma you might have been that way. I put up with it for quite some time. I did not call the police nor told anyone about this even when you beat me up and left me unconscious. I reached out to your therapist, and he told me about your anger management issues.
It was naive of me to have placed my trust in you. I loved you with all my heart, and you still crushed it. I have forgiven you for cheating on me, even when I caught you red handed. You didn’t even apologize to me properly; you only sat there on the couch with a face that showed that I interrupted your very good time. I even managed the second time you cheated. I confronted you, and you promised me that you would be loyal and more loving towards me.
After that, the abusing got worse, and it took a toll on me both mentally and physically. It was not until this Thursday afternoon that I decided I would break things off. I do not know why but the thought occurred to me for the first time. Maybe it was because I loved you a little too much and overlooked everything. None of that matter now. I realized that I would be much better without you and this poison of a thing we called “relationship.”
Thank You and Farewell. I hope you don’t cross my path ever again.
Hatefully,
Pauline.
